Year 3 - Visit by Mountain Climber

As part of their Mountain Environment topic, Year 3 children got a first hand account of what it is like to climb mountains. Kate Scott came in to talk about her preparations, and then her actual trek to the Base Camp of Everest. The children were in awe of her achievement and learned a lot about respecting the harsh environment and being prepared.
